1. What kind of documents are required for renting a car?

 

Europcar require that a valid driving licence has been held for at least 1 year, identity card/passport and credit card. In case of business rentals corporate registration documents, official stamp and an undersigned order are required to be presented at the commencement of the rental to our rental agents in every office.

  



 2. How early should the vehicle be reserved?

 

For categories A, B, C and L reservations should be made 1 day before the date of the rental, in case of other categories 3 days in advance.

 

 

 3. Is there a delivery service at Europcar?

 

Delivery can be provided on-demand within the city for 12.700 HUF (VAT included). In any other case we'll charge 190,5 HUF/km (VAT included) but minimum 12.700 HUF (VAT included) for delivering the car back. Demand of delivery/collection must be indicated by order.

 

 

 4. May the rented vehicle be driven out of Hungary?

 

Yes, with a border pass permission written and signed by our rental agents.

 

Vehicle is forbidden to take into the following countries: Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Albania, succession states of Yugoslavia (except Croatia and Slovenia) and former Soviet Union (except Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).

 

Border crossing permit is required for rentals shorter than 1 week 19.050 HUF (VAT included), for 1 week or more it is free of charge. Vehicle in certain categories is not allowed to being taken abroad.

 

  

5. Who is allowed to drive the rented vehicles?

 

Everyone, who is written on the rental agreement and suits the Europcar General Renting Conditions.

 

 

 6. Where the rented car may be returned?

 

Rented car may be returned to any Europcar offices in the country for rentals more than 3 days 8.890 HUF (VAT include). In case of returning the car abroad one-way fee must be paid, which varied by countries, and special conditions and restrictions might be applied. 7. What to do in case of accident?

 

In case of an accident renter must provide the most important details of the other participant for Europcar (name, address, details of the cars, place, police report if necessary, insurance policy and name of the insurance company). If renter or/and the other participant are foreigners, on-the-spot investigation has to be done, and the police report must be attached.

 

 

 8. What does the insurance include?

 

Rental rates include the liability and casco insurances against breakage and robbery (CDR & TP), the non-reimbursable excess is depend on the damage and the vehicle category . The excess can be reduced to 0 HUF. For further information please contact the Europcar station.

If denying the Collision Damage Reduction (CDR), in case of any new damages on or the loss of the rented car or parts of it, the breakage of the glass or in case of theft, the renter is liable for total cost of reparation. 

In case of great value of damage, write-off and theft the excess is 10%, which based on purchase price of car. Europcar reserves the right to charge it to enter even after the rent was closed.
